Update: August 18th, 2017

Hello All!

My name is Casey Raiha, and welcome to my website!  Let’s get right to it!

It’s been a good three months since I’ve updated this place, mainly because I’ve been having the time of my life, doing Summer Repertory Theatre in beautiful Couer D’alene, Idaho.  This includes performing in the Ensemble of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as well as Luther Billis in South Pacific (a dream role of mine.)

If you find yourself in the Couer D’alene/Spokane area before the end of August, there are TWO opportunities to see me perform: The Wild Women of Broadway concert, August 22nd, where myself, and a handful of talented local performers will perform songs sung by and sung ABOUT Broadway’s most ferocious leading ladies.  And of course, Million Dollar Quartet, which is currently in it’s second week of performances.  I play Sam Phillips in this production, and seats are going FAST.  Tickets to both events can be found here.

Show to Go See:

One of the only downsides of performing theatre OUTSIDE of Seattle is I don’t get to SEE any of the amazing shows that perform IN Seattle.  This includes Taproot Theatre’s production of Persuasion, a world premiere musical, based off the Jane Austen novel of the same name.  While I have not seen the production, I know the caliber of every one of the actors in the cast, have read the rave reviews, and seeing how quickly tickets are selling, I can tell you, you need to go see this wonderful show, in the intimate, beautiful space of Taproot in North Seattle.  Tickets and information here.

Words of Wisdom:

“There’s nothing as unstoppable as a freight train full of f***-yeah.” – Jen Sincero, You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life

The past week I have been reading, nay, DEVOURING this great book by Jen Sincero.  She helps to explain in layman’s terms how to be our absolute best.  A book like this is especially helpful as nowadays, we seem to be bombarded with news and frustrations that lead to worry, anxiety, depression…

I highly recommend this book, and this quote refers to how, once you have absolute positivity in your outlook and your goals, you cannot be stopped.  Find the ways to get better, to heal yourself, and love yourself, then go out and conquer the world.

One last things before I go.  As a small thank-you for coming to visit my website, here’s a link to one of my favorite songs to sing, called “Seeing You There” from the musical Ordinary Days, just a few days ago.

Take care of yourselves, take care of each other, and I’ll see you next time.

– Casey Raiha
